Guri and Gura’s Pancake


 Hi guys! Do you know Guri to Gura?? It's a famous picture book in Japan. I loved this book when I was a kid. One of my favorite scenes was when Guri and Gura used a huge egg and made a big pancake with animals in the forest.

 When I whet to Jiyugaoka last week, I found a super cute cafe where you can eat the pancake in the Guri and Gura picture book.
 It's RusaRuka. Take the Tokyo Kyukou Dentetsu line and it's about a 10 minute walk from Jiyugaoka Station. When you order a Guri to Gura no hotcake, it takes about 25 minutes,so me and my friend ordered a drink. It was only about a 5 minute wait. 

 Then the Guri to Gura no hot cake came! Be carful because the pan is really hot! The pancake comes with whipped 
cream, vanilla ice cream and blueberry sauce. 



 The pancake was big and delicious. First I ate it only with butter. After that I tried with 3 kinds of different flavors. My favorite was the blueberry sauce.   
 Guri to Gura no hot cake is 1500 yen. It’s big, so you should share it with a friend.  Please check RusaRika when you go to Jiyugaoka!!

Yojiya Cafe

  One of my favorite cafes in Kyoto is Yojiya Cafe. The Yojiya area was famous for oil blotting paper.  The cafe was like an old Japanese style folk house. We waited about 15 minutes to set in because really it's a popular cafe in Kyoto. There were a lot of  items on the dessert menu and drinks menu. I choose green tea ice. My friend choose strawberry latte. Both were so sweet and delicious. The price was about 800 yen. It was a little cold that day so I ordered a Houjicha latte too. TGI Fridays

 TGI Fridays is an American restaurant & bar. TGI Fridays means Thank God It's Friday.  I go there once a week to eat dinner with my friends or with my family. Yesterday I went with my friends. My favorite is the guacamole, Chicken Wings Tacos and milkshakes. Do you know what Guacamole is? It's popular in the USA but I think most Japanese don't know Guacamole. I forgot to take a picture so I'll explain. It's smashed avocado, tomato,pepper,salt and cilantro. It's a little spicy and everyone dips chips and enjoys guacamole. Chicken Wings Tacos is spicy chicken wings and lots of vegetables are wrapped in a tortilla. At TGI Fridays in Yokohama Station, you can drink Alcohol drinks 50% off only at happy hour from 5pm〜7pm. I like the alcohol drinks here too. Uni Coffee Roastery

 Uni Coffee Roastery is my favorite cafe in Yokohama.  There are so many kinds of drinks and desserts. My favorite is the pudding and the sweet potato latte. The sweet potato latte was limited edition during Halloween season but it was popular so  they are still selling it. I always order this drink. The color is cute so  it's photogenic and also sweet and delicious.  I like sweet latte drinks but coffee is popular. Uni Coffee sells freshly ground coffee. It's only 500yen a cup so  it's not only delicious but  it's also reasonable. There are a lot of  unique menu items here. One more popular menu is the pudding. It's 480yen so cheap than other cafes I went before. But it is so delicious. It's a little hard type pudding. The pudding is sweet but the caramel is bitter so it really matches.
